Well, by luck and random chance I realized it's an extremely pale Lavender! I planted another one in the yard this spring that flowered properly lavender colored, and I smelled it (lovely!) and just happened to pick a stem of the mystery plant and it smelled the same, and I looked closer at both plants and...voila! Lavender!
Anyone have a clue what this flower is? I'm pretty sure I planted it last year or the year before, so it's a perennial, the small long thin leaves are grey-green, like the color of sage, but they are only 3/4" long; the flowers just came out the end of June, and are all little white petals
